Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi | 18–19 September 2025
New Delhi witnessed a landmark gathering of global sustainability leaders as the 6th Global Sustainability Summit & Expo 2025, hosted by MSMECCII, drew a full house over two dynamic days at the prestigious Vigyan Bhavan. Two parallel halls were abuzz with 100+ eminent speakers from across the world, engaging in high-impact brainstorming sessions that received exceptional appreciation from industry professionals, researchers, academia, and an enthusiastic contingent of university and packaging students—the torchbearers of India’s sustainable future.
This year’s Summit centered on three critical themes:
- Plastic Pollution, Recycling, Packaging & Waste-to-Wealth
- E-waste Recycling, Lithium Battery & Electric Vehicles
- Renewable & Sustainable Energy
The event underscored the pivotal role of students and young innovators in shaping a Viksit Bharat (Developed India), while emphasizing the collective responsibility of industry, government, and civil society to accelerate the green transition.
Highlighting the Government of India’s historic announcement that by 2030 the nation will cease imports and rely on “Make in India” manufacturing, MSMECCII stressed that SMEs and MSMEs will be the backbone of this transformation. Though these enterprises possess world-class talent and technology, they often face a critical shortage of funding.
MSMECCII pledged to bridge this gap by connecting small and medium enterprises with banks, NBFCs, private funders, and overseas investors. This nationwide mission—launched from Delhi and expanding to Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and industrial clusters—aims to create jobs, empower entrepreneurs, and drive the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
Looking ahead, MSMECCII announced plans to form a Top-Class Industry Advisory Board to scale these initiatives. The Chamber is engaging with the Honourable Commerce & Industry Minister and the Honourable Prime Minister to share its long-term roadmap and seek government partnership for broader impact.
“Together, we can build a stronger, greener, and self-reliant India,” affirmed the MSMECCII leadership, reinforcing the Summit’s theme of collaborative nation-building.
